I arrived at 9.30 pm in Bangalore airport. I ensured to follow the queue for a taxi. The taxi supervisor directed me to one legitimate airport taxi in the queue. Before boarding I enquired about a printed receipt. Taking the driver’s assurance about printed receipt, I boarded the taxi. It was a long journey of about an hour and a half till Electronic City. I arrived in a gated community at about midnight. Throughout the journey, I had a very good feeling towards the driver, almost to give him much more fare than that would be receipted. At the destination, he proclaimed that his printer is short of paper and therefore no receipt. At midnight he insisted that he does not even have a manual receipt to provide. My company would never reimburse the taxi fare for Rs. 1500 without a receipt. The taxi driver is certainly at fault, but proving his guilt of worth Rs. 1500 will be another arduous task for me to handle. What should be the appropriate approach? Too tired to investigate the matter I agreed to the loss of reimbursement. That villain driver is once again the victor.
You may be abiding by the law of the land. You may have the decency to comply by the rules. But your goodness is attracting attention. Good people are the target for predators. There are predators among jewelers, builders and Government agencies and in all other sectors and social segments. Your naiveness is the cause for your sorrow. You have accountability to neutralize situations that brings grief to you. You must know to fortify your stance. Your intuition must tell you to develop defenses to protect your interests. Good living is for those who are proactive against the extortionists, looters and deceivers.
People who escape from the demands of daily living cannot become colorful. Celebration of Holi is not for the meek, timid and selfish.
A detailed study of disruptions are essential. At a meal for one person, a dal tadka is of Rs. 350. And a plate of chapathi would mean three numbers. After the meal, if in case you want 20 percent more of dal tadka and one number chapathi then that is an impossibility. That’s because the register is programmed to consider the next full purchase of a unit and a unit comprises of three chapathis and 300 grams of dal tadka. Here, a marginal exit from norm, would be accurate and wise. But such precise calibrations has not got its deserved respect. The check-in at the hotel is all about 12 o’clock. Its rental is calibrated to 12 o’clock . If your checkout is at 4 pm then you are compelled to pay for the next 24 hours, though effective use of the room is only for 5 hours.
Another commercial system was with taxis. You hire a taxi for Rs 2000. This rate is for holding the taxi for 4 hours or for use for 80 km. Here distance and time is the unit for calibration. Four people in all bought four buffet for lunch. But in the same restaurant, tea and coffee are served only post 4 pm. Every appeal to get a coffee just after the lunch buffet is dishonored. Do we really need such approaches that are so tight that they look inhuman? The restaurant at the food court has a dilemma in the shopping mall. The small space to sell food is billed Rs 2 lakh every month as rent. Yet, if they make much more profit, then the calibration as rent is 30 percent of their income. In effect, it’s a lop sided contract. The shopping mall owner is always at the advantage. Such experiences of being marginalized in a discussion or negotiation is evident to you too. You too much have been in a tight spot to get compensation. The sense of justice is lop sided.
This study needs much acumen in the victim because predators and parasites will prevail. Only a detailed investigation by you can bring to you the strength to give blow back to invaders.
Such penetrative and incisive deconstruction of thought dilemmas are essential. Only such scrutiny will expose to you, the multiple colors of interactions. The number of possibilities of transactions are like all permutations and combinations of basic colors. As you know four basic colors can be fused and interlaced to manufacture hundreds of thousands of combinations. Living is colorful to those whose intellect is sharp. Those whose intelligence is enhanced, they can bring gifts of colorful living to other people.
Almost all people who succeed has similar stories to narrate. Those who are focused on willingly moving through the jigsaw of living are celebrating Holi. They can afford the celebration and they deserve the festivities.
People who escape from the demands of daily living cannot become colorful. Celebration of Holi is not for the meek, timid and selfish. Sympathy mongers may not deserve to participate in the festivities of those who make a living by hard work. People who are occupied to create possibilities and to generate opportunities needs to be conferred the sanctity. This meritorious genre of wise people celebrates every day. They expresses much diversity and colors in aspects of their living.
Is it not correct if successful people will reject the club built by sympathy mongers? There will always be people who cry foul. There will always be some cunning people who will pretend to be on the side of the sympathy mongers. The constitution has proclaimed that suicides are illegal, but there are wily and sinister leaders, who insinuates marginalized people. Experience of being cornered, back against the wall, bottlenecks must all be used as diving boards to success.
Much learning is there in experiences of arriving at the dead end. Wisdom and intellectual rigor is essential to cut through the blanket of a sense of deprivation. Being weak and backward should not attract propriety and sanctity. It is unwise to justify rise of being marginalized, alienated and annihilated. Because you have the freedom to learn to innovate and to do work hard.
Almost all people who succeed has similar stories to narrate. Those who are focused on willingly moving through the jigsaw of living are celebrating Holi. They can afford the celebration and they deserve the festivities. Much in the world are oxymoron or even defy rationales. Many subjective youths may not have a specific logic and common reasonings. Every person is very unique. Each person has their own trajectory as the purpose of their living. Much is left out of the dimension of relevance and therefore cannot be understood. But, the innovators marches ahead with confidence, courage, and enthusiasm. Holi for those who has the energy to have a vision of collective good.
It is only in India that there is a celebration of colors. India houses the largest social diversities. We have numerous cultures and each deserves to be celebrated. The lineage of traditions in India is far ahead of much of other civilizations. Humanism and care for environment is at the core of the ethos of India. Research, study and probe on how to exact your calibrations and assessments are required. Much unfairness and seemingly unjust facade are inevitable. But the ability to laugh through it all is the essence of celebrating the festival of colors. Go ahead and enjoy Holi in India. The problem of ambiguity in driver behaviors can wait.
