International Yoga Day
Consider the times that we are living in. Isn’t it dominated with analysis, scrutiny probe dissection and anything and everything that is of separation? Differences and diversities are inevitable. But then devoid of any orientation towards integration, can there be completeness? We have stumbled upon the most valuable question. Is there a method to integrate back to the original state? Coming together of different factors to its original and wholesome state is called Yoga.

Nobody can claim to have avoided doing yoga. As a child it is the yogic movements of the body that contributed to your growth. Some practitioners who has practiced yoga for many years may have experience some calm, restfulness or even relief of the mind. Else would there be a word called psychosoma. So then we cannot deny the impact of physical yoga exercises to a state of tranquility in the mind. Perhaps it is this tranquility that has made yoga into a more sought after technique for relaxation and healing.

Many Governments are finding methods to regulate the yoga market. There will be ministries for yoga. They will find ways to scrutinize and regulate the trainers. This will be in the interest of the consumers of yoga training programs. So that there is good standards and quality in the process of transferring yogic skills to students and trainees. There are possibilities that yoga training will be brought under the university system of certification and accreditations. Yoga teachers will have to have good knowledge of academics of yoga its practices, its history, the various postures. The trainers should also have good expertise and insight so as to ensure safety in the practice of yoga. People that need special attention and care should be cautioned of how much to exert in each posture.
The word yoga seem to be able to connect people from various cultures. The culture of yoga seem to bring cohesiveness among various cultures. Yoga culture is also more suited for the environment and ecosystem. Many yoga practitioners recommended a total vegetarian system of food and diet. Vegetarianism within itself is environment friendly. Yoga culture has lessons in honoring nature its rivers and the stars. You may have heard of the popular form called Surya Namaskar. Many fashionistas and fashion models have made yoga into a trendy pastime. A big market for yogic wear and other accessories such as yogic mat and other merchandises has brought commerce into the yoga studios. Weight loss clinics have found yoga as a very safe option for its patients. In all it is certainly justifiable that our world has a international day to recognize this unique art for humanity called yoga.
